Life never goes as you picture it.

Beautiful spring weather is here. I don’t work. I have made plans to have play dates with my good friends’ babies this week. I have a lot of blog posts ideas to do. We have some small home projects that we want to start…

Last weekend, M got sick. Really high fever for a few days. An ER visit. Prescribed antibiotics for ear infection. Found out he is allergic to it by finding rashes all over his body.

M eventually gets better from his fever and rashes.

Early yesterday morning, T woke up with 40C (104C) fever. We have been giving him Tylenol and Advil and the fever won’t go down much. My husband has been really busy with work lately so I took both boys to the clinic yesterday and today. The doctor cannot detect any infection… lungs are fine, ears are clear, throat looks good. He thinks he might have a viral flu like influenza.

For babies, there is not much they can do to treat that type of flu so I was instructed to keep giving him Tylenol and Advil until the fever goes down completely.

I have had to cancel 4 plans (all baby friends related) this week just in case he is contagious to other babies. Play dates are the only time I get to hang out with / talk to some adults other than my husband. So although I know I need to do this for my babies, I was really disappointed that I can’t see my friends.

We had been pretty lucky that our boys hadn’t been very sick much in their first year. Now, they got this high fever flu symptoms for days one after the other, and it is heartbreaking as a parent and also very challenging for me to realize we as parents are the ones that are responsible for their well-being.

I can’t even take care of myself that well. When they are this sick, they rely on me?!

I just had to write this out. I apologize for this ‘not so fun’ subject. I was going to write down the boys’ 14 months development post, a small workout plan I have started, and other things this week on the blog but I haven’t really had much time to sit down and edit a blog post lately. I guess it will have to wait until they are healthy again.

Here are a few pictures from yesterday.

T has a fever but he is in good spirit. He has two best friends, his twin brother and his cat brother!

I tend to update or check my Instagram much more often on my phone, so please check it out if you would like to see some daily pictures or updates!

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Good night.

I’m sorry they are still not 100% they’ll get there. I understand about not taking to other people too! Since I starting walking, I talk to all kinds of grown ups!

Oh dear, I hope T gets better. Totally understandable and you shouldn’t have to apologize for being human. Mummies have needs to and a happy mum makes a happy child. Hugs* xx
